The School Resource Officers (S.R.O.’s) are sworn deputies who are responsible for providing security and crime prevention services for the West Feliciana Parish School System. S.R.O.’s work closely with administrators in an effort to create a safer environment for both students and staff. One S.R.O. is stationed at each school while the school is in session.
In addition to teaching the D.A.R.E. program, they establish a close partnership with administrators, work to reduce juvenile delinquency, work with guidance counselors, and maintain a positive relationship with school aged children. S.R.O.’s play an integral role in the local school system and have had many positive impacts on the students in their schools.
